This end grain cutting board is fashioned from Douglas Fir lumber and a useful addition to any kitchen or food service area. End grain shows off the beautiful grain patterns and is more gentle on knife edges than long grain cutting board. End grain does not show cut marks on the board and does long grain cutting boards. The knife edge cuts between the end grain fibers of the wood which re-close as the blade is withdrawn. The finish on the board is a combination of mineral oil and waxes which are acceptable to use on surfaces in contact with food.
Dimensions are approximately 17 inches long by 10 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches thick.
